What you'll see out there

Three things make Ponce Inlet worth the ride.

Most jet ski tours are just laps in open water. Ours runs through one of the most wildlife-dense estuaries on the Florida coast — and right past the tallest lighthouse in the state.

The lighthouse, from the water
The Ponce de Leon Lighthouse — 175 feet of red brick, the tallest in Florida and second-tallest in the country. Tourists pay $7 to look up at it; you're going to circle past it from the water at speed.
Dolphins. Actual wild ones.
The inlet is a feeding corridor. Pods come through nearly every tour — sometimes a couple, sometimes a dozen. Your captain knows where they tend to be at the time of day you're out.
Manatees + the estuary
Inside the inlet, the water glasses out and the river opens up. Manatees rest in the warm shallows. Rays glide under the skis. It's a different speed and a different world from the open Atlantic.

About the inlet

One of Florida's last truly wild stretches of coast.

South of Daytona Beach, north of New Smyrna, the Ponce de Leon Inlet is where the Halifax River meets the Atlantic. The lighthouse has stood since 1887. The dolphin population doesn't follow anybody's schedule. There aren't many places left on the east coast where you can ride past a century of history and a wild marine ecosystem in the same hour.

Where we launch

4936 S Peninsula Dr.

We're on the peninsula in Ponce Inlet — about ten minutes south of Daytona Beach Shores, fifteen from Daytona proper. Easy to find, easy parking, and you're on the water within twenty minutes of arrival. Show up 30 minutes before your tour for the safety brief.

Who can ride

18+ to drive, 5+ to ride along.

Drivers must be 18 or older, and 21 or older to carry a passenger. Passengers can ride from age 5 with a parent. You don't need to be a strong swimmer — every guest wears a Coast Guard-approved life vest the entire tour.

Florida requires a Boating Safety ID Card for anyone born after Jan 1, 1988 to operate a jet ski. We can walk you through the online course at check-in if needed.

What to know going in

Show up 30 minutes early.

We'll do paperwork and a safety brief, then get you on the water. Bring sunscreen, a towel, and shoes you don't mind getting wet. The whole tour runs about 75 minutes on the water.

If we have to cancel for weather or safety, you choose between a reschedule or a full refund.

Make a day of it

You're already here — there's more.

Most guests pair the tour with one of these — they're all within a fifteen-minute drive.

Ponce Inlet Lighthouse
Climb the tallest lighthouse in Florida. 203 steps. The view down the coast is unbeatable.
Marine Science Center
Sea turtle hospital + bird rehab on the same lighthouse grounds — small, free, surprisingly good.
Daytona Beach
Drive-on hardpack sand a few miles north. The reason a lot of folks are in town in the first place.
New Smyrna Beach
Twenty minutes south across the inlet. Quieter beach town, great food, top-rated breakers for surfers.

Absolutely amazing time. The crew knew exactly where the dolphins would be — we had a pod swim right next to us. Sea-Doos were brand new feeling.
